How Do You Position Yourself ?

Position Yourself – Ready Set Go!

We have now made it through the first month of 2016 and what a month it has been. I have spent the last week that we have been home getting caught up on all the things that were on my desk to take care of while I was gone. I also spent the week reflecting on all that has happened in the past month as we traveled. My major goal this year was to lean in and position myself to know God more as it in that relationship that I can continue to hear God with such clarity that I can be ready in season and out to respond to His voice and truly stay right in the middle of what He is doing.

When you read or hear the statement position yourself, what does that look like to you?

I know for some it is kneeling in prayer.

For some it is arms held high to almighty God.

Many lay prostrate on the floor.

Also chair or location set aside to meet with God.

All of these are ways people position or posture themselves and all of them are how you spend time with God. The only way to know God more is to hang out with Him, we show someone we love and care about our relationship when we spend time with them.

We need know God so intimately that we love what He loves and hate what He hates.

So as I talk about position yourselves today it is focused on how the lord has been speaking to me about how I pursue Him and what He is wanting to do in and through me and our ministry. I have found that if He is speaking to me then it is never just for me. So I pray that the Holy Spirit would take these words and this devotional touch the hearts and minds of those that are also feeling passionate about pursuing to know God more.

Many of you who have been following us or our ministry know we are preparing to hold our first international Youth Invasion Crusade in Kigali Rwanda in July and then Again In Cape Town South Africa in September. While this is an amazing opportunity and will without a doubt be the largest event I personally have ever even tried to do.

I am also blessed because I know it was orchestrated by the Lord and He has been faithful to make every part of it possible. I am sharing this testimony because I think it is important for us to not only talk about God doing abundantly above all we could ask or imagine. I believe that is truly what separates God Dreams from our own.

That being said I want to say that I also believe we must be able to hear God and move when He says move and not before. Timing is everything and apart from God we can Do Nothing. If you truly believe with God ALL things are Possible then why is that I often hear people actually blame others for the reason they are not doing what God has called them to do. How many of you have been blamed for the reason your wife is not fulfilling her destiny or your husband says if you would just listen to God we would be fulfilling our destiny.

I absolutely understand it when we are waiting for the hour and time when God will release us to Go, but I also know that if we are trusting Him and He has given you promises than do you really think ANY Person can really stop Him from fulfilling His Promise in His Time? Really stop and listen to yourself, if your wife, husband, trusted mentors and leaders are saying it is not time, yet you feel God has said now is your time, this is your hour and you feel and know you are so ready. I am going to say that if that is actually true then God will change their hearts without us grieving the Holy Spirit by putting them down and speaking down or negative about them as if they are sinning for not agreeing with you.

I often hear these conversations and I have been on both sides over the years, the past few years the lord has placed me in some wonderful relationships that have taught me about trusting God, Living a Life of Humility and understanding that all of the ministry I am able to do is a privilege and not because I have a super anointing. I know who I am and who’s I am but God is not looking for the Super Awesome And Gifted, He is looking for those who want to be a gift to the body. This is an hour where God is looking for authentic relationships, let go of the I am anointed, I have the gift of place you’re here you are a child and servant of the most high God.. Get over yourself and assume a real position before the Lord and watch what He will do in your lives.

I pray you hear my heart in this when I am speaking about positioning ourselves it is important that we are able to lay down our ego and pride and really trust that all that God has called us to do He is able to bring it to pass. Let go of the lie and I suggest you forgive and repent to those you have accused or blame for holding you back, I would also do even more and take the time to thank them for caring enough about you to stand their ground and trust what God was telling them and trusted Him in you.

We all need those people in our lives that keep us from running ahead of God and often preventing us from hurting ourselves but most of the time it is others who are also harmed when we are moving in our vision and timing in God’s name.

Now I also want to say that there is those who do the opposite, who have leaders and mentors and spiritual family in your life who are encouraging you to step out and move into the things God has called you to and you say know I am not ready it is not time, I am not qualified. This is where we also trust those who hear God and believe in us and we walk past the fears and have the courage to trust God in us. Positioning ourselves before God is how we become ready for promotion and we learn and grow into our gifts and callings through trusting Him and those He has placed in our lives to equip, train and disciple us.

Now I apologize if either examples above provoked you, actually sorry I am not sorry, if they provoked you I pray the holy spirit says hey that is you Stop It!

I will finish with the way the lord showed me what positioning ourselves for this year and this hour is in the position of someone who is leaning in and ready to Go when He speaks. Leaned in Listening for His Voice, Feet positioned to respond immediately. Ready Set Go!

The Whole point of Relationship is to truly Know Him and He wants those who, hear His Voice, They Abide in Christ, They trust Him Unconditionally. They are to be ready in season and out. (Positioned)

We should love what He Loves and our lives should bring Him greater glory, we are called to produce much fruit and we do that by being in Relationship with Him and being concerned about His people, more than our call or vision..

When the Lord gave Me Exodus 33: 18-19 for the You Invasions Theme it also spoke to me about how to approach Him.

I believe that this year as we position ourselves as Moses did when He ask God to show us your Glory and then as the Lord requested He positioned himself and the Lord said He would Let His Goodness Pass Before Him. That is what I believe The Lord is Going to do again, As we position ourselves and ask and wait for God to show us His Glory, He is going to Let His Goodness pass before us and we move into a season of Greater Glory. Position Yourself and Get Ready for The Goodness Of God To Pass By and change your Life Again..

The Revival We pray for starts in us and is ignited by Jesus the Reviver and then We can Burn For Jesus!!

Blessings Steve

Then when the host comes he may very well say, ‘Friend, come up to the front.’ That will give the dinner guests something to talk about! What I’m saying is, If you walk around with your nose in the air, you’re going to end up flat on your face. But if you’re content to be simply yourself, you will become more than yourself.”

Luke 14:10-11 (MSG)

17 After Jesus said these things, he looked toward heaven and prayed, “Father, the time has come. Give glory to your Son so that the Son can give glory to you. 2 You gave the Son power over all people so that the Son could give eternal life to all those you gave him. 3 And this is eternal life: that people know you, the only true God, and that they know Jesus Christ, the One you sent.

18 Then Moses said, “Now, please show me your glory.”

19 The Lord answered, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will announce my name, the Lord, so you can hear it. I will show kindness to anyone to whom I want to show kindness, and I will show mercy to anyone to whom I want to show mercy.
