I had a song stuck in my head today and it is from a favorite worship CD I listened to in 1994, wow that does takes us back a few years. I can still remember most of the songs and some I still play at times. As I was reading and praying this morning I found myself burdened by many of the prayer request for friends and family who are struggling with some difficult situations. I am reminded that the lord created us a prophetic people and His word is meant to be read and heard in that way.
This is the day that the Lord has made, I Will Rejoice and Be Glad in It. Psalm 118:24, we are proclaiming it as we speak it.
As I thought of the Song I will rejoice I realized we need to take that prophetic posture daily in our lives, based on psalms 13:5 the Song I will Rejoice by Bob Fitts says:
I" Will Rejoice, I Will Rejoice I have made up my mind and I’m going to rejoice. It doesn’t depend on the circumstance, the strength of my arm or my voice, it doesn’t depend on the Way I Feel, I Made up my mind and I am going to Rejoice!.".
I love the way it is declared in the message as it proclaims victory and answered prayer that is the posture I want to take in every situation.. Seem to fit that same Point the Lord made recently doesn’t it? Its Already Done !
Psalm 13:5-6 (NLT)
5 But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
6 I will sing to the Lord
because he is good to me.
Psalm 13:5-6 (MSG)
I’ve thrown myself headlong into your arms—
I’m celebrating your rescue.
I’m singing at the top of my lungs,
I’m so full of answered prayers.
